Does Buster+Gracie only do cats and dogs?

Our skilled artisans can create a perfect portrait of whoever you proudly call your pet. Cats, dogs, horses, gerbils, rabbits and even a goldfish are included on the list of animals we have created portraits of.

Can I put more than one animal on a canvas?

Yes. Many of our products allow for 2 or more animals. If this option is available, it will be listed in product description of the product. 

Products that have the option for 2 or more animals include:

Themed Canvases. There are themes for 1 or 2 pets

Watercolor Style Canvases: We can include anywhere from 1 to 3 animals on each portrait.

Loft Style Portraits: We can include anywhere from 1 to 3 animals on each portrait.

How do I choose the best photo for my portrait?

For the best possible pet portrait, the quality of the image you upload is very important. 


What makes a Great photo?

  • The best photos are taken in sunlight or in a brightly lit room.
  • Please provide high resolution photos. If taking new photos, please use a high resolution setting on your phone or camera.
  • Please ensure that your pet's entire face and neck are visible. Full ears or other important features should be visible and not cropped.
  • Please use a photo where your pet is looking towards the camera and facing forward. Other positions may be acceptable, however please be aware that your pet portrait will show your pet in the same position as on the photo.

What if there is stuff in the background behind my pet in their photo?

In most cases, this will not be an issue. Our skilled artisans can work with most images. If there are any issues, we will let you know before beginning the creation of your artwork.

Do you recommend an optimum size for the canvas.

12" x 16" is the most popular size. However, you should choose a size that works best for your home. To give you an idea, an 8" x 10" is slightly smaller than a regular letter (8 1/2" x 11"). 


Do I get to see my portrait before it is printed?

Absolutely. Within 48 hours of receiving your order, our Client Service Team will email you a proof of your portrait. At this time, you can request revisions. Only after you have given your final approval will your portrait be completed. Please note that for Themed Canvases, the costume can not be changed without incurring an additional cost.

Do the portraits need to be framed?

No, you do not need a frame. All of our portraits are created on Gallery quality canvas, which is wrapped over a solid wood interior frame. The canvases arrive with hanging hardware already installed, ready for hanging on your wall. Floating frames are offered as an option if you want to further increase the wow factor of your portrait.

Can I get a copy of the digital file for my portrait?

Yes. We provide digital files as an add-on to our products. For $12.95, you will receive a high resolution file. With this file you can post on social media, make a screen saver, print high-quality prints at Walmart and Costco, or any other printing outlet.

Why do some of the themed choices look aged?

All of our themed choices are from real vintage paintings and drawings. To maintain the look of authenticity in our portraits we have purposely left details as close to the originals as possible.

Where is my portrait or other products created and shipped from?

Buster+Gracie operates in Canada, United States and the United Kingdom. We have artisans in all countries. Your products will always be created and shipped from your home country.

Are there customs or duties on any shipments?

No. We create and ship everything locally. Your order never crosses borders.

What is the shipping cost?

We charge a flat rate shipping cost of $12 on all orders.

How long until my order arrives?

Once you have approved your portrait or other product, your order will usually arrive within 7 to 14 days.

Why didn't all parts of my order arrive at the same time?

We use artisans with specific skills from different locations across the country. To ensure your order arrives as promptly as possible, we ship each product from the region it is created in, which means your order may arrive on different days and in separate parcels.

RETURNS & SATISFACTION GUARANTEE

Do you accept returns?

Due to the custom nature of our products, we do not accept returns. However, we do guarantee your satisfaction. We provide proofs prior to shipping your portraits and create all products on high quality gallery standard canvas to help ensure your satisfaction with your custom order. If for any reason you receive your portrait or other product and are not satisfied, please contact our Client Service Team at clientservice@busterandgracie.com. We will work with you to make things right.

What if I need to cancel my order?

To ensure timely delivery of your order, we begin custom design of your product(s) within 12 hours of receiving your order, so unfortunately we can not offer refunds after this time. If you wish to cancel your order within the first 12 hours, please send an email to clientservice@busterandgracie.com

I am missing a part of my order.

We use artisans with specific skills from different locations across the country. To ensure your order arrives as promptly as possible, we ship each product from the region it is created in, which means your order may arrive on different days and in separate parcels.

My order arrived damaged.

While it is rare, occasionally your precious portrait could get damaged in shipment. Please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order and we will work fast to get a replacement. Please provide photos of the damage in your first email so we may help you faster.
